Southern Peru and Machu Picchu
Schedule 14 days / 13 nights
1st day: Lima Reception at the airport in Lima and transfer to your hotel, late visit to the city surroundings and museums.
2nd day: Lima – Pisco – Paracas – Islas Ballestas. Departure in Bus to Pisco. In the afternoon we’ll have an excursion to the Paracas Natural Park. Return to the hotel and spend the night in Pisco city.
3rd day: Paracas– Nazca 7:30 a.m. Excursion to the Ballestas Islands, observing one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Coastline, with marine wolves and a variety of birds as well as to appreciate part of the Nazca lines and strange rock formations on the sea shore. In the evening we'll continue South until we arrive to Nazca where we will stay for the night.
4th day: Nazca– Arequipa At 08:00 a.m. overflight the enigmatic Nazca lines and in the evening we'll visit the cemetery of "Chauchilla". At 21:30hrs. Trip by bus towards the white city of Arequipa to accommodate in a comfortable hotel.
5th day: Arequipa Today is free for resting and relaxing, after lunch we'll have the excursion to the Santa Catalina convent, monastery and to the Yanahuara viewpoint. Return to the hotel for the night.
6th day: Arequipa – Cañon del Colca At 08:00 a.m. Pick up from the hotel and begin the trip towards the Chivay village, during the trip we'll appreciate attractive landscapes, local flora and fauna and people's customs in Maca and Pinchillo villages, arrival to Chivay and spend the night in a lodge. Free afternoon for visiting the Thermal springs of "Calera". Overnight in Chivay.
7th day: Colca – Arequipa – Puno Early breakfast and exit in a tourist transportation towards the Condor’s viewpoint to watch birds of majestic flight whose habitat is the Colca Canyon and where we'll appreciate the depth of one of the deepest canyons of the world the Colca Canyon. We'll start the trip back to Arequipa city according to the schedule then board a local bus from Arequipa to Puno. Spend the night in a hotel.
8th day : Puno – Uros – Amantani - Taquile At 08:00 a.m. Transfer to the dock to board the boat that will take us to the Floating Islands of Uros and to the island of Taquile, famous by its rooted customs, their hospitality and its multicolour weaves. After lunch we’ll continue towards the island of Amantani where we'll spend the night in a rustic but warm and comfortable local house, to share experiences with the Lake Titicaca inhabitant’s.
9th day: Taquile – Puno After enjoying a typical breakfast we'll visit the islands and once again to make purchases of fabrics. In the evening we'll return to the city of Puno. Spend the night in a hotel.
10th day: Puno - Cusco At 07:30 a.m. Pick up from your hotel to board our bus back to Cusco, during the trip we'll appreciate different archaeological sites like Pucara, Raqchi, Wiracocha temple and the Sixtine Chapel of America, and the Andahuaylillas chapel. At 16:30hrs. Arrival in Cusco and hotel accommodation.
11th day: Cusco city - Sacsayhuaman Morning free. We'll have a 13 hours excursion to the historical main square of the imperial city of Cusco visiting the Koricancha temple and the Cathedral then we'll continue with a 10 minutes ride from the city to visit the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel to spend the night.
12th day: Tour to Machu Picchu At 05:30 a.m. Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the San Pedro train station, to board the wagon and head to Aguas Calientes village once there we'll connect to the local special bus transportation towards the Machu Picchu city for a 3 hours visit. After lunch we'll return to Cusco by train and transfer from the station to the hotel for resting.
13th day: Incas Sacred Valley – Pisaq – Ollantaytambo - Chinchero. An all day excursion visiting the Indian market and Inca site in Pisaq, after which we’ll have lunch in Urubamba, to continue to Ollantaytambo, and visit Chinchero’s typical artisans market. Return to the hotel in Cusco.
14th day: Cusco - Lima According to your flight itinerary, transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Lima and connect with your international flight.
