Day 1: Arequipa / Chivay We'll start the pick up early in the morning to begin the journey to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the road to Yura, skirting the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve Aguas Blancas and Salinas) habitat of the beautiful South American camelid, the Vicuna. In bofedales of Tocra we can appreciate a wide variety of migratory birds, including flamingos. Passage through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We will stop at a volcano’s viewpoint, which is also the highest road (4800 m.a.s.l.) where we'll appreciate most of the western mountain range. Approximately at 13:00 to 13:30, Arrival to Chivay check-in at your hotel. Lunch At 15:00hrs. In our tourist transportation we’ll head towards the picturesque village of Coporaque, from where we’ll begin a hike of about 2 hours to enjoy the nature, and the beautiful landscape on this side of the valley, as well as a pre-Inca cemetery located close to the mountain base. At 17:00hrs. After the walk we'll enjoy the hot springs in Calera Medicinal were the waters temperatures range from 35 Celsius to 38 Celsius At 20:00hrs. We'll have Dinner, accompanied by a local folk show.
Day 2: Chivay / Cruz del Cóndor / Chivay / Arequipa Continental Breakfast at 06:00am. At 06:30am. We'll go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, a strategic observation point of the canyon and to see the spectacular flight of the condors. On our return we'll stop in Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque villages; having beautiful colonial churches, as well as Choquetico and Antahuilque viewpoints, from where we will observe the impressive terraces in the valley, the tombs and pre-Inca remains. Lunch. At 13:00 Return to Arequipa city. At 17:00 to 18:00 hrs. Arrival to Arequipa.
